I've kept a lot of journals through the years. During my teens I observed an unusual pattern-- I tended to write in diaries and journals when I had an unspoken crush on some boy. Luckily, as I got older I got more consistent with my journal writing and I wrote on a much larger variety of topics than boys I wanted to ask me to Homecoming. Here are some excerpts:
| Elizabeth Turnock Memories | |
| My grandmother, Elizabeth Baker Turnock, passed away on February 5, 2000. Here are excerpts from my journals that include references to her (even trivial one sentence ones). | |

| Carolyn and Clint's Wedding | |
| Here are journal entries regarding the wedding of my sister, Carolyn, and her husband, Clint on February 10, 2000. | |

| Camping Trips | |
| Here are journal entries from some camping trips I took with my sister, Carolyn, and my brother-in-law, Clint. | |

| Trip to New Orleans | |
| Journal entries from my trip to the Sugar Bowl in January of 2000. This is probably one of my "corniest" entries- I was just really amazed by the amount and attitude of the Virginia Tech fans. | |

| Trip to England | |
| In July of 2001 I traveled to England for work. As it turns out, my brother was nearby training for his new job. I spent some time in Reading, Watford and London. I got a lot of journal writing done on the trains and this section features a large number of photographs as well. | |

| Hokie Football Road Trips 2001 | |
| For the 2001 Football season, we attended every Virginia Tech football game-- home and away. Here are journal entry excerpts from those travels. | |
