Maurice Sawyer, son of Jean Sawyer and Charlotte Lirette (Guirette)
MAURICE, born in Trois-Rivieres, P.Q. July 18, 1791, married Marguerite Mailloux, January 19, 1813; she was the daughter of Louis and the deceased Elisabeth Remond.
A daughter and a son were born of this marriage:
- JULIE, born May 24, 1813. She died at an early age.
- MAURICE, born December 1, 1814. Godparents of the son were Joseph Mailloux and his wife, Charlotte--uncle and aunt of the child.
In a second marriage at Trois-Rivieres, P.Q., May 18, 1819, Maurice took for his wife, Judith Boisvert, daughter of Joseph and the deceased Charlotte Isabell.
Children:
One son, Maurice, born March 8, 1820
Three girls: Elisabeth, Celine and Caroline.
