Jacob Baker
Jacob Baker, son of Michael Baker, was born in 1797 and died in 1858. His wife's name was Susanna who was born in 1801 and died in 1852. He was a member of Third Creek Presbyterian Church which was organized in 1774 near Cleveland, North Carolina. Jacob is buried in the church cemetery along with his wife and several children. He died of pneumonia. In his will he left the mill to his sons, John and Michael, as his elded son, Henry, had already established himself as a farmer in the Millbridge section of Rowan County. Henry was bequeathed $600. A copy of Jacob's will is in the Appendix.
