In the fall of 1999, a bunch of us went to see Jimmie's Chicken Shack at a fraternity party. It wasn't the most optimal of concert environments. Most everyone came just to drink and not to enjoy the music. In fact, near the end of the night one girl said, "There's a band playing? I thought that was the radio."
While there, Jodi, Vicky and Ryan got to meet Jimi Haha. An excerpt to a letter to Aaron Evans explains:
"Jimi Haha was standing around not talking to anyone besides the security guys. So Jodi and I went over there. When Haha looked at us, I think I outdid Justin's performance at Biohazard. There are the actual words that come out of my mouth:
"'We wanted to wish you good luck tonight, but you guys won't need it because you rock!!!'"

Haha agreed to have a picture of all of us taken with him-- on one condition that he take the picture. Above is his handiwork. Unfortunately the orange streak on the right is where Jodi Vandervort is standing. It's a shame because Ryan and I would never have mustered up the nerve to speak if it weren't for Jodi.

| Henry Hates Cows |

On the way to the hike, we passed a number of cow fields. We stopped the car and discovered that Henry hates cows. He arooed obsessively at them. Here is his right after one such aroo. Ryan Schutt is in the background. |
